heather, fage is a greek strained yogurt. it puts all other yogurts to shame. for real.

yum! I've been working on making my own yogurt. First two batches were a bust, but I'm NOT giving up...

yogurt and granola (with berries) are my favorite bfast combo. but if they could both be homemade, that would be so yummy.

mmmm. Must make another batch of granola immediately. When I have it I eat this all the time. I use the honey though. Or maple syrup.

That yogurt is so freaking good isn't it? I cannot eat the watery american yogurt at all anymore. I can make a pretty good version with a locally made (White Mountain) yogurt that I drain. But that's a lot of effort, man. I'd rather spend the time making my own granola.

so the fage yogurt. it's plain. and i do buy it at whole foods. i've also seen it at trader joe's. i buy the 2% in the larger serving sizes (500g). they also sell single servings with little dishes of honey or fruit attached. (i've tried the honey one - it's 4% yogurt, which is outrageously good to begin with, with greek honey, which is like candy. so good.) it's really really good yogurt.

and, in case you need another reason to love it - it has WAY less sugar than the plain yogurts we're used to (brown cow being my former favorite).

let me know if you find it and like it!

the nonfat version of Fage is delicious too! And Heather, the only place I know of around here is Whole Foods to buy it.

fage. my god it's good. it's inspired me to make my own yogurt and strain it to get that lovely lovely consistency... i'm getting closer to mastering it... believe it or not it's another good use for the dehydrator.
