buying Born Digital for my Kindle

I was not born digital, but I appreciate that I can download this title directly to my Kindle in something like one minute.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

You're the best, Jenny, thanks! What a fun picture. (As an aside, at a talk at Google about the book, I was teased about the Kindle edition when it first came onto Amazon because it was priced at over $20.00 while they were offering the hard-cover for $17.00! They have since brought down the price, but I'm curious why it is selling for more than the $9.99 that all my other new Kindle books have cost me?)

You're so nice. I downloaded it a few minutes after you posted this (you inspired me to buy my own book -- is that weird? stupid? what?). I think the download messed up or else there's an error in the Introduction. On p. 2 in the real book, there's a section break and a new section begins with a big letter "B", and the text reads, "Beginning in the late 1970s..." In my Kindle version, a sentence or two is garbled, going over a Kindle-page-break. I've tried to re-download and everything, but it seems to persist. I'd be curious if the text reads OK in your version before I complain to Amazon that they've messed up the Kindle version of the book!

John, my version is a little garbled, too, although it didn't bother me. Luckily it wasn't crucial text. If you report it, I'll be interested to see if they update my copy and if so, whether my highlights stick or not. Interesting dilemma!
