Back from 15 days in Alaska - feels good to be home! Did a lot of shooting, including a wedding, but not as much landscape as I'd have liked. Still, I was fortunate enough to have decent weather on our trip to Denali National Park. Next time I'll have to camp at Wonder Lake!
Denali (Mt. McKinley) is the highest peak in North America at 20,320 ft. It is actually much taller than Mt Everest from base to peak, and is physically much more massive.

I love the green in the foreground, contrasts nicely with the mountain and sky. Can't wait to get back to Denali, trip all set for next summer!

Outstanding crystal clear shot of McKinley. Love the foreground greens and the textures/colors of the rugged peaks just below the snow-covered areas in particular. Excellent capture!

What a majestic mountain. From what I've heard, she's hard to see as it's usually socked in by clouds. Fantastic image, Sheldon.

Uf! An unusual perspective on Denali that stands way out from the usual shots I've seen from wonder lake. From this angle you can almost feel the mountain punching you in the gut it has so much oomph. Nicely done.
