      Thanks, everyone! Kate totally nailed the heart here. She had two sparklers, so each arm did a half of the heart.

      We have an outtake that is not quite so successful. ;)

      Nice one! I like how you balanced out the lighter and sparklers on the dock.

      Very well done! I trust her magnificent hair was not endangered by the sparklers?? ;)

      My darkroom is no more (temporary setback it will be resurrected), but I really need to do more 4x5 stuff. I've got film and holders, I just never seem to get out and use it.

      Obligatory Instagram shot of the negative

      @Gaby, thank you!

      @Dante, how I wish I could take credit for that clever composition. That was all Kate.

      @Anthony, no magnifient hair was harmed in the process! :) Bummer about the darkroom. I still wish I had one. And I do have to admit that the 4x5 is a beast to drag around. I can understand how one might not use it much.

      i don't have the words to express how wonderfully fantastically perfect this is! i'm a huge sucker for sparklers, so right off the bat i love this...but the execution is so great too. the way the blue ambient light and gold sparkler light work together is brilliant and i'm so impressed by her two-armed heart-making ability!

      Brilliant, absolutely love this. I love how her body is motion blurred yet the legs appear so very still over 60 seconds. Great work both of you.
