Fireworks

I'm cheating, this is from last night's firework display in our local park. I felt like a right plank with a tripod...I'm not sure who was feeling more embarrassed, me or MrSpud.

Anyway, I took 60 shots. 10 reasonable ones, 10 OK ones and 40 horrendous ones. This one is my favourite.

This also marks my 'first time' on fully manual mode. Yay me ;-)

Nice one. It was a particularly good Vicky Park display this year, I thought - I liked the soundtrack. Your ratio of shots sounds about right when trying to capture fireworks, I usually give up and just watch the display (well, I don't lug a tripod round) but went for taking crummy vids this year (yet to upload those).

Thanks guys. Fin...yes I thought it was great, and thought the music really added to it. I haven't been for a few years despite living about 2 minutes away, I've been at home muttering about the noise and hoping it didn't wake the babies....!

I didn't feel like I missed much. I set it all up before hand, so it was just click click click and hope for the best. I think I fiddled with the settings at some point, just for variety.
