2009 New Year's Firework in San Francisco![]() ![]() Shooting from Treasure Island wasn't the most attractive choice -- it's been done so often. And I did it several times myself and it can be really spectacular
Given the low fog, many other locations were not attractive, so I decided for that "secret spot" above I-80 but had to leave after CHP arrived and demanded all cars to be removed from the street. Fortunately with still over 30min till midnight, I went to my second fav. location for SF firework, giving me a nice foreground + Embarcadero towers with holiday lights in the back. And Transamerica Pyramid (if it weren't for the fog) While this time, the gamble paid off -- only few shots were completely swallowed by the clouds. On other occasions, the fog has completely ruin the view.
