For the Strobist out there: This was taken with a LOT of light from monolights (so not really a good strobist example). One 48" octabox (WL X1600 at half power) camera left (just barely), a 42" bounced umbrella WL X1600 camera right at half power and a AB800 at 3/4 power about 5 feet behind and to the right, hot.

To answer some questions:

No, he was not in the middle of a sneeze.

No, it was not photoshopped. Well that's not entirely true.I process all my work through PS and/or Lightroom. This had white balance adjusted in Lightroom and minor tweaks to contrast and final color correction done in PS. The effect though is from shooting at f/22 and a LOT of light.

Yes, he really is a character. He is incredibly smart and could not help but be curious as to what was causing the light behind the diffuser (very large octobox just left of my camera). He found out and was first intrigued then blind for a second. Neither of us could help ourselves. :-)

I miss Oakley..... Could we have him shipped here, maybe? I happen to know from first-hand experience that the dog enjoys car rides, perhaps you could drive him down? I'd say you could save yourself the drive by mailing him instead, but snail-mail takes sooooo long and he'd eat all the food packed up with him in the first day.
