gaudi's house of bones

Window detail of Caso Batllo building (the Dragon House). The building was designed by Antoni Gaudi and built in 1905–1907. The local name for the building is Casa dels Ossos (house of bones) for its skeletal organic quality. It was originally designed for a middle-class family and situated in a now prosperous district of Barcelona, Spain.

Oh no mistake about this one - definitelya Gaudi design. I like how the earth tones are complemented by the soft, almost pastel colours of the glass.

Oh, and I thought some of my photos were really old, but now I have got to find some from the 80s. :)

i think gaudi had a huge impact on the city of barcelona with his amazing unique vision. his works enabled that city to be more open to new and different ideas on design and architecture which is why barcelona has so many eccentric looking buildings.

and yes, your archives is a great source and can give a very interesting glimpse into your experiences, interests and growth over the years.

horizon, i think you would do your typical amazing photos with gaudi's works. his stuff has a way of inspiring others because it is so unique, modern and traditional and beyond it as the same time.

      Beauty.
      I miss Barcelona.
It's too bad they never built the hotel He designed for New York.

    19. shapeshift (83 months ago | reply)

Hmmm... I did not realized he designed something for NY. It is too bad it was never built. It seems that the US would be too conversative architecturally to build a Gaudi.
