View On Black Feel the heat and view it large. So much better!

As the sun began to set, I sought to explore the office level floors of Michigan Central Station. They all look the same, but I knew I wanted to find a shot no one had done before. What grabbed me as I stepped onto this floor (can't remember which number), was how the burning red sun was making these rectangular streams of light after shining through downtown and the windows of the station. It created this eerie red effect and I felt the temperature begin to slightly rise in the hall.

On another note, most of the halls of Michigan Central Station had beautiful shiny marble walls. What remains on most floor is the shattered debris of them as misguided men led themselves on a testosterone fueled spree of destruction. On the left you can see one of the last remaining sections of marble left intact in the whole building. Very rare! There is also a message from another Flickr member!
