A Cup of Tea in Seoul: Expressway
A new project I am working on. The juxtaposition of elements is my focus for this, but generally, I'm looking to get a lot of people involved in having a cup of tea all around the city of Seoul.
If you're interested in being a part of the project, please let me know!
Strobist: SB800 through westcott 28", high camera right. Full power.
Oh, and a big thanks to Tony for helping me carry this wopping great table!

Nice photo, I think this is strong with the pano crop. Nice lighting as well, I remember how tough that is to do with long exposure!

This is nice. I do think she is located rather tight to the frame on the bottom. Is the slight off-centeredness ( she is sitting slightly right) intentional?

Okay - random question time oh great lighting master!!
With a 10 second exposure, I'm assuming you shot with a rear curtain flash setting - so is that what keeps your model so still and pristine while the rest of the world is whizzing by in long exposure time??
Nicely done, by the way!! ha!

@Angga - I would love to have you in one of my upcoming frames. I'll shoot you a flickr message when the weather is getting a little warmer!
@leichenwagen - I have some frames where she is dead centre, and it does make for a powerful image. However, I liked the quirkiness of having her off-centre, just to go with everything else that's not quite right here.
@Jay - Sir, you have indeed hit that proverbial nail on the head and beat the living daylights out of it. She had to sit quite still... we actually had to make a plaster model of her in the end as everyone twitches over the course of ten seconds at some point... I jest. There will be a blog up soon, maybe even tonight regaring the simple little trick I used to make this image work more easily.

Great capture. I would have rotated it 1-2 degrees counterclockwise and maybe panned the cropped it with the model more centered than the table, though. What a tricky exposure!
