Six on a motorbike.... Phnom Penh, Cambodia

= D
funny
Six on a motorbike.... Phnom Penh, Cambodia by shadowplay.
Anyone who has traveled in Southeast Asia knows that the motorbike is a form of 'mass transit'....it is not uncommon to see three or four on a bike; sometimes five, as in the image below.....I kept wondering if I would be able to see six on a bike....finally in Phnom Penh I saw them coming and was appropriately acknowledged as the tourist I was by the young man in front....

I thought it looked familiar. Not sure if I have commented on your pictures before though I have admired them for quite some time. I am intrigued (as I'm sure many others are to) as to what you do to get this trademark finish. I have tried all manner of things in PS and this is the closest I have got so far -

Not very as you can see. I am inspired and learning something everytime I visit your place on flickr.

Laughing out loud at this photo! It's great! The expressions, the color, the motion... spectacular.

Call me crazy, and don't take this the wrong way, but is this photo evocative of Norman Rockwell?? Take a look at these:
or .

I couldn't find the painting that I was looking for, in which a little boy is looking out of the frame of the painting just like this boy is.

Something about the exuberance and motion of your photo reminds me of the mood of some of his paintings. Also, he painted for a stylized photorealism, and your photos are injected with a painterly quality in their light and depth... they meet somewhere in the middle, somehow. Or something.

Jeez, this is why we as a species are not going to last. Over population is going to do us all in for sure. For being dumb animals with brains the size of walnuts, even the dinosaurs will go down in history as more successful. Ok, rant over.
