reykjavik tilt shift from Hallgrímskirkja

reykjavik tilt shift from Hallgrímskirkja

I'd seen versions of this shot before, so i thought i'd give it ago too.

this was taken from the top of Hallgrímskirkja, the largest church in Iceland. It kind of works, but a little less snow would have made the colours of buildings more prominent

Seljalandsfoss @ night

Seljalandsfoss @ night

Final stop

We decided to stop at Seljalandsfoss on the way back, as it's lit up at night so gives a different perspective. I tried to get the stars to come out more in this, but it was tricky due to the brightness of the waterfall

Vik @ sunset

Vik @ sunset

6th stop...

Just about got here and across the snow to get to the beach to grab a few shots.

Vik is famous for its black basalt sand, and In 1991, the American journal Islands Magazine counted this beach as one of the ten most beautiful beaches on Earth. In the distance you can see Reynisdrangar, basalt sea stacks situated under the mountain Reynisfjall

river Skóga @ sunset

this was taken just as the sun was starting to set, although it took so long we decided to travel down to Vik at the southern point to catch the finish
