Taken during Westlake High School's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (I had access to the sound booth above the stage.). The lighting was dim, so had to do a lot of Noise Ninga work on this one.

Taken vs. Given
Sometimes I ask people if I can "take their photo". I'd much rather "give" them a photo because for me half of--no, almost all of--the pleasure of photography comes from seeing/hearing someone else enjoy them. I suppose it's that way for many photographers. It's all the better when someone asks me to "take their photo", like Emily here: She asked me to shoot her senior portraits. Sweet.

Aerial Dance
Another shot from the the shoot Peter, Robin, and I did a shoot last weekend with a group of dancers from Blue Lapis Light, an aerial dance group in Austin Texas.
