Awesomeness! I flew coach this year. =( But
it's ok, because I was crushed up against a
window seat myself! =) Great view! The clouds
all seem so perfectly staggered!
sweetchuck: no idea, or i would have mapped
it. kansas, maybe? i was on a crap plane
invented before televisions, so we didn't
have those little monitor thingees showing
you where you were. or any movies. boo.
couldn't see an answer to doctora boop, the
circles are created when revolving
"center pivot" irrigators are used
in areas with low natural irrigation. check
it out here, there's a neat shot of CPI being
used in the sahara: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_pivot_irrigation
being a frequent flyer myself, i had to
figure this out.
claredom: awesome! thanks for the explanation
and the link.
they reminded me of an explanation of a form
of charity in biblical times, when farmers
were obligated to harvest their square fields
in a circular fashion, leaving the corners
for anyone who was poor or hungry.
thank you for the explanation claredom! that irrigation system it's wonderful (maybe
we have it as well, but I never saw it from a
plane) hey, you should name yourself cleardom :))

this is awesome. why does it look like film?
sgoralnick (57 months ago | reply)
had to add a lot of contrast to make up for the haziness of the atmosphere, maybe that's it?
