i was excited to see these amazing bikes, because i always thought this was one of kev's most memorable photos from last year. i also felt a special sort of kinship with them, as my costume was a glowing green-eyed monster.

the 5D seemed to fare pretty well! When i took it out in the crazy dust i encased the body in some gaffers tape and a ziploc bag and left the (supposedly weather-sealed) lens exposed.

totally! i didn't buy that thing only to be afraid to take it where i really want to go. it fared excellently, as far as i know. i did tape up some of the trap doors and wrapped the body in a ziploc when i went out into severly dusty areas, but i decided to test out the whole "weatherproof sealed" L lens claim and left the 16-35mm naked. but i saw some poeple out with totally exposed 5Ds and they seemed fine. turns out they DO make em like they used to.

These guys were awesome - they served tequila shots right off the bikes! And they served the shots in the limes themselves! And the limes were stored in lime-racks on the bikes! And they sprayed more tequila right into our mouths! Thanks guys!
