Underwood Portable Typewriter II circa 1926
This typewriter is around 80 years old. Marketed as a portable typewrite it still weights a ton. Notice how the numeral "1" is missing, the "L" in lower case doubles up as the "1" .... making it lighter in weight. The carry case is also a dead give away that it is a portable typewriter! It still works perfectly and I just change the ribbon not long ago! No spell check though.
Commentstumble weed 123 says:Hi that is a very nice photo of a beautiful
typer. Do you know the serial no? I have
one just like it, but it does not weigh a
ton. In fact it weighs a mere 14 lbs, in the
case. Not bad for 1926. Mine also is in
very nice condition, one of the nice things
about old portables. And very beautiful as
well. If I can I will try to send a picture
of mine, perhaps hanging by its handle from
the Excelsior Improved Spring Balance scale
that I weighed it on! Cheers.
