grout? of course!

grout? of course!

The reason for putting the shiny protective coating on the tiles and not the grout was to make the grout lines look like ... GROUT. Of course! I thought it worked very well. The uneven texture of the old linoleum adds to the rustic look of the tiles.

shine on tiles only experiment

The floor was half way done. I got up and spoke with my mother about what to use to protect it. She suggested a floor finish which I happen to have ( because I have everything, ten times over). I put it on only the tiles and left the grout lines matte. I thought it would enhance the three dimensional effect I was aiming for. I was very pleased!
