my bad bezel
My third attempt at setting a cabochon in a bezel.
The first one looked MUCH better.
The second was a complete fail.
This one is functioning, but ugly.
I think that I made the bezel on the second two from sterling wire, not fine silver, maybe 20ga., intending to fill it like a mosiac, not to use it as a bezel.
I must have forgotton, and now it's about 6 months later, and I'm trying to use up my bits and pieces.

patina on copper earring parts
Experiments with patina on copper.
1. heat + cold water quench = red.
2. amonia + salt + 60 minutes = blue.
My favorite part is the little blue dot at 7 o'clock on the hoop at the right.

improv hammer rack
A carpenter I am not, but I made this semi-permanent hammer rack for free in 10 minutes.
