The Provincetown Playhouse

The Provincetown Playhouse by Seth W..
133 MacDougal St.
Founded in 1915 by George Cook and wife Susan Glaspell. Loads of plays came through here, written by e.e. Cummings, Eugene O'Neill - and heck Bette Davis made her stage debut here.

Check this out: After the place got big, they closed up the theatre and moved to Greece, "convinced that acceptance by the establishment signaled their failure as revolutionary artists." HAH!
