The beautiful castle of Chambord, Loire Valley, France.
Largest castle of the Loire valley, it was built by the king François 1er between 1519 and 1547. This castle is typical of the French Renaissance architecture. In many ways, though, it is atypical : its interior structure with a double helix staircase in the center and the modern layout of the rooms makes it a curiosity.
