homeless dog in the snow

homeless dog in the snow by seriykotik1970.
When it's really cold homeless dogs tend to sleep in the Metro, and underground passages. But now that it's milder they return to the streets.

Fru childs, Mistubako-yes it is sad. You don't see many stray dogs in England, where I come from. People feed them -and they hunt for small animals. But in a city like Moscow there aren't many of those. I have to say they are better behaved than many pet dogs- even when you are carrying some sausages (althought myself I don't eat meat) and you find 10 of them sniffing and following you! :-)
Hanny , Irene V, Hohman,
The temperature last Thursday when I took this picture: -5 degrees C, and it is about the same today. I say milder because this has been a cold winter -with several weeks below minus 20. It's coming to an end though- Spring is round the corner!
