Noite de São João by Brazilian artist Laura Belém (pictured) at Nuit Blanche.

Noite de São João magically transposes a rural Brazilian festival into the urban landscape of Toronto. In Brazil, for the Feast of Saint John, villages are decorated with multi-coloured paper flags in a night celebration of music, dancing and food. In Toronto, Belém fills the sky with star-studded blue flags swaying to a soundscape of field recordings from the Brazilian festival, reinventing our relation to our surroundings in a poetic white night.

This is a lovely shot indeed and I'll accept the selective desaturation.
Again, I do not mean to offend.
I would have cropped the left off. Ok! I know there's a story to be told with the couple on the left but when you placed your red subject dead center, the eyes went sraight there and nowhere else.
If you crop the left off, then the eyes would start on the left and move right to the subject and onwards to what is in front.
You have a good weekend too!

Boff, there is so much detail in this photo that its hard to mention everything. And in my opinion every single piece is important for the whole... ^^

Well, of course the right but is much more detailed and these little flags were the first thing to catch my eye, but I think it would not have worked without the right and much calmer part. (Eventhou you got a different opinion earlier here.) I just feel it would have been too full with stuff and that on the other hand would have probably made it look kinda crowded. Of course the street also gives the eye some time to rest, but I feel like both parts are essential here.

I usually don't like it too much, when the model / main character is right in the middle of the pic, but it doesn't disturb me all too much here, because nevertheless the two parts in which the woman divides the photo are not equal. And therefore it doesn't look symmetric in anyway. =)

What I like most are the passengers that left traces on your photo. Cool one. Looks like something you better do with a tripod. Did you use one?
