the dude

I was asked by ruthless to do a Ralph 10, so here you go.

1. Ralph is not my dog. He is my sisters. I just borrow him for photo's.

2. It took Ralph 10 months to be toilet train. In that time I didn't like him very much as he decided his personal luxury toilet was under my bed.

3. Ralph was a pooh eater. He would only eat Rocco's pooh but, all the same it's was yuck. He use to be so bad and literally wait under Rocco. It was like watching carnage in a landslide of rocks.

4. Ralph is frightfully greedy and is a bin surfer. He once ate about 3kg of spag and we thought he was going to pop. He loses his mind around food and we call him the Ralphinator.

5. Ralph loves to be covered in 10kgs of blankets at night. God knows how he doesn't suffocate but he just loves it. He has to be personally put to bed every night.

6. We thought Ralph was really useless at obedience as he could never get out of class one. We then discovered that the instructor couldn't tell the difference in him standing or sitting.

7. Ralph is so loving, he adores to be adored and would spend all day being cuddled if he could.

8. Ralph is a licker. He is always licking peoples toes.

9. If you sit on the ground expect his nose in your crutch. I guess it's his only chance, give him a break.

10. Last of all, Ralph is just pure comedy, everything about him from looks to personality is funny. He is an awesome little guy.

Thanks for the comments. Ralph does this trick were he jumps over Roc. I wanted to capture this and our first attempt Roc got up when Ralph was in half jump and he completely crashed to the ground.... luckily he was in his helmet. He is such tough little guy shook it off and came back for more. I didn't put him though it again as it needs a two person supervision to get the shot.

Ralph obviously like being back in the womb at night, what a cuddleball sweetie!

Amazingly he sounds every bit as eccentric as your pix suggest... Your obvious love for him is very warming. I think you have found yourself in the right family Ralphie.

LOL. This is sooo funny....#6 is hilarious. Be glad that Ralph is a toe licker and not a nose and mouth licker (#3). I read that dogs noses are so keen that they smell the food content of the pooh rather than the pooh itself ...which helped me a little to understand why they have this liking for it ...but not entirely. I love Ralph anyway. He seems to be so tolerant and so willing to please....plus he's cute . :-)

I am rolling over with laughter. You just described a typical doxie, right down to the poop eating. Their other qualities are so endearing that I can forgive them for that. Each one has their own characteristics but one thing is for sure, If you want a love machine that will make you laugh everyday, get a doxie.

The blankets are all typical Dachsie, even my dachsie crosses are habitual blanket snugglers, or I should say smugglers. ~_^ At night, they can be blanket thieves, I awake with sometimes only a corner of comforter on the coldest of nights, and piles of blankets on top of the crew. Gotta love them. As for the poo eating, well, most of mine went through that stage, it's a typical pika thing that some dogs go through. As for the housetraining, well, my pugs were always more difficult than a Dachshund, all of our Dachshunds and Dachshund crosses (thank goodness the crosses didn't take after their pug side. ~_^) were housetrained easily. We trained them for no licky woos, can't stomach the tickles. Dachshunds are selfish and greedy by nature, no one can have what they now have, and pugs are natural born thieves, and steal from anyone else that has anything other than they have, so my crosses are quite amusing, they are a torn bunch. lol
