I had a big garage sale today, trying to get rid of most of the stuff that I can't take to the US with me. It was quite successful, with almost everything big being sold. Still a lot of books and crockery, as well as four dining room chairs that I thought were certain to sell... there's no accounting for taste.
Anyway, this picture is an attempt to encapsulate the after-sale comedown that I'm feeling. Half of me (the twin on the left) is still "up and at 'em", getting stuff done and moving ahead. The other half is just suddenly dead tired and exhausted. All the organisation and work – of both the garage sale and the move to the States – has suddenly caught up with him and he just wants to sleep.
He'll get over it soon enough, I'm sure.
