It was a very calm, overcast, unseasonably warm New Years Day in upstate NY. This image was from the bottom of a previously snow covered streambed. I was inspired by the wonderful intimate landscape imagery of my contact Pete Hyde. He has an incredible eye for finding the "hidden" compositions of the natural world. If you haven't already, treat yourself to a visit to his photostream.
The image sharpness is a bit soft - particularly for this lens. I believe that I should have used a larger aperture and done more focus blending if needed. Instead, I found myself sharpening heavily, attempting to rescue one of the only decent images from the morning.
All comments, critiques, and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
