Gay Pride New York 2008 / 20080629.10D.49816 / SML

I had plans to shoot a large sum of photographs this year but I ended up not attending the parade because of the rain. I was hoping to catch the faeries drumming but that got canceled... so this is what I managed to photograph today. Hope I didn't disappoint y'all. Looking forward to next year!

That is a great shot! I've taken a few photos of flaggers and know how darn difficult it is to catch them just right........ most of my attempts have wound up in the trash bin :-(

I also did not get to the NYC Parade - but because of a lost wallet with my license, charge cards, cash and LIRR ticket. Had a nice walk from Central Islip station back to my truck at Ronkonkoma. Five miles! The wallet is still missing :-(

Sorry to hear about your losing your wallet.

For the flaggers though, key is quick-recycling on the camera. I took a total of seven shot of this guy. you're only seeing one. This is one of the key reasons why someone would want a 10fps body--and no I don't have one of those :)
