Dubai Metropolis
The Business Bay Executive Towers in Dubai.
Reminds me of a great quote from the 1927 film classic, Metropolis:
""We shall build a tower that will reach to the stars!" Having conceived Babel, yet unable to build it themselves, they had thousands to build it for them. But those who toiled knew nothing of the dreams of those who planned. And the minds that planned the Tower of Babel cared nothing for the workers who built it. This is an awesome shot. I know people who say Dubai is a very 'artificial' place in a desert. I agree with them in one sense. It's a place which is relatively new to development. But when it saturates, say in about 8 years, it's going to be an architectural utopia. The level of genuis employed in those buildings are second to none at the moment.... Fantastic shot. You've encapsulated Dubai just as it is... even the lighting... the flourescent tones.

Incredible shot. Like from another planet. That quote is so fitting as well. I jsut returned from Dubai and was at the presentation center for Business Bay. The towers in your picture are almost complet.

@Lawrence - No, this shot was taken from an apartment block on a balcony pretty high up right opposite the towers.

how is this an "incredible shot"? it's blurry, out of focus and noisy. The buildings are nice - sure, but it takes little talent to take a photo such as this.
