Voting For Education

I always thought (when I was growing up) that a governments job was to ensure there would be resources for its people to benefit from. When I was a kid government wasn't a "career" but more of a volunteering situation, but with some decent pay. Officials countlessly run with the idea of "EDUCATION" being a primary goal, yet schools are closing at an alarming rate. I live in one of the richest counties of the United States, but my son's school can only afford to have the library open on one day of the week. WE need to really do something about this problem or we can on;y get dumb,dumber, and dumberest.
