This is the edge of a mostly frozen lagoon in Chile. It was taken around midday when the Sun was quite high, hence the bright white of the crusty ice and the vivid colour of the flat areas. I was looking for curved shapes (not letters necessarily!) in both the Atacama and the Altiplano and this area where the ice gave way to water was a good find. It originally had a convenient flamingo on it, but by the time I'd faffed around with the camera the bird had become bored and left - probably a good thing or this would have been rather less abstract!
