Hanalei Bay

View of Hanalei Bay at sunset from the Pavilion. The surf break known as Pinetrees is off in the distance; that is Andy and Bruce Irons' home break. I've also seen one-armed shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton ripping at Pinetrees. While the waves aren't the largest, this is probably one of the most beautiful surf spots in the entire world. Instead of scanning the ocean for incoming sets as normal, a waiting surfer here is tempted to drink in the landscape: it is unreal.
