This is a set of photos of St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica in Covington Kentucky taken on two different dates with various lenes. All was shot with Nikon D7000 with 55-300mm VR nikkor, Tokina 12-24mm f4, and Samyang 8mm fisheye lens. All are HDR from 3 bracketed shots at 2 stops apart.
The church has several amazing features other than its beauty. It is one of only 35 Minor Basilicas in the United States. The Cathedral's North transept window is (according to wiki) still the world's largest church stained glass window, measuring 67 ft (20 m) high by 24 ft (7.3 m) wide. The interior was completely modeled after St. Denis in France and the exterior is modeled after the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The project was started in 1894 but later cancelled in 1915 and to this day is still incomplete. More info can be found at www.covcathedral.com and wikipedia.
