London's Tate Modern debuts The Tanks, the world's first live art gallery, in time for the Games

    Tate Modern's new space for performance, dance, light and video installations – The Tanks -- are three underground chambers in the former power station on the River Thames.

    Starting 18 July, these raw industrial spaces will showcase 15 weeks of performances and events. Then they will be closed until the museum expands further, adding 60% to its exhibition floorspace. www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tanks-tate-modern/eventseries/ta...
