London's first cable car debuts

    Emirates Air Lines, a cable car line linking North Greenwich with the Docklands, has opened in time for London 2012. It will ferry passengers between Games venues.

      That should be interesting to ride in some heavy fog.

      Not much fog in London these days thanks to cleaner air, but wind is the real problem. The cars go 9mph on ordinary days, but as slow as 3mph (or not at all) on windy days.
