    Two secretary bird chicks are being hand-raised at the San Diego Zoo in hopes of increasing the population of this vulnerable species. The chicks, which were hatched at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park earlier this summer, were transferred to the Zoo's Avian Propagation Center earlier this month. sandiegozoo.org
