the Evolution of the Paper Clip

In 1994, I was a lowly student hourly helping process collections at the State Historical Society of WI; along the way, I collected quite an eclectic mix of paperclips and staples. I decide to fashion an "Evolution of the PaperClip" for kicks.
It was such a hit with the staff, that someone mounted it behind glass and it's hung in the outer office for the past fourteen years. I finally snapped a pic of it this past week; the magic marker text has been pretty washed out, so I added text labels in Photoshop.
