Fantstic pic - but the scan quality is horrible!
Scratches Dust and no post scan work at all - sad to see that there is none with a sence of photografie to do this job!

I was the one that scanned the photo. The original was a horribly faded, underexposed original print from 1966. The quality may seem horrible, but you should see the original. This IS an improvement.

I understand that scanning of old and shattered photos is a hard work, but if you look at the cockpit there is a fingerprint - do you use a scanner with ICE technologie to restore the scatches and the dust?
Postprozessing - very grainy in to dark areas - set a blackout point on the landing gear.
The pics befor had been less green - set the whitebalance!
These are great photos and you should do justice to them witha good work!

Charles M. Daniels Collection Photo - restauration

The film is a KodaChrome or EktarChrome isn´t it?
So I set the whitebalance to get a way the greenish tones you often get with scanning KodaChrome - the shadows are to grainy to restore them quickly also the scratches und dust - that should have been done in the scanner. Can be done by photoshop but that would be a horrible work and I understand that your time per pic is limited.

Wingman - Keep up the great work! The rest of us appreciate your efforts!

      As for the critics...
      1. There is no "fingerprint" near the cockpit. The curved, parallel lines are the tail of the comet painted on the fuselage.
      2. This is a scan of a print, probably from a Kodacolor negative - not a Kodachrome or Ektachrome positive.
      3. The greenish tint was caused by the overhead fluorescent lighting in the museum building.

Thank you for your support. I did the best I could with what was a terribly faded original. I find it interesting that the other photos in this series that were scanned from somewhat better originals have no comments. Again, thanks for your encouragement.
