Of course. How about Hillside Club plus other
sites around the world liveblogged, i.e.
distributed vs. one big meatspace gathering?
A 24-hour round-the-world party like Louis Wu? Heck, they might even join us in Second
Life!

Raines, I was thinking the same thing, where
are places where crowds of friendly bloggers
can gather in potluck fashion? Yes, the
Hillside Club is one such place. All the food
courts of the US? The Metreon in SF.
Cambridgeside Galleria in Cambridge. I think
we're onto something here. If it's going to
be a blogger style thing it *has* to be self
organizing. I'd like to get a HyperCamp going
somewhere for this. Maybe I'll travel to NY
for this event. Keep thinking!

Please NOT NYC Dave...where'd you write your
first blog? Wouldn't that be a good place,
maybe commemorate with a plaque: Birthplace
of the Blog!

Sorry dave, Ric Ford was blogging daily links
to news and commentary in 1994, years before
you got around to blogging. I've read
Macintouch every day for almost 13 years,
their format has barely changed since day 1.
There were plenty of other blogs that
predated scripting news, I often see
Netscape's What's Cool page as a good
example, that dates back to about 1993: web.archive.org/web/20031127173904/wp.netscap

So dave, it is nice that you can claim 10
years of blogging, but you have no serious
claim to be the first blogger, you're not
even the second or third blogger, maybe not
even in the first few dozen. So if you want
to celebrate your blog's 10th anniversary,
fine, but don't go around claiming it's the
10th anniversary of the invention of
blogging.

Congratulations, Dave! Of course others have
claimed that blogging "really"
began earlier--I recall making that claim for
my own great-grandfather's letters from 1918:betsydevine.weblogger.com/2005/04/20
But surely you must be the Johnny Appleseed
of blogging as well as RSS and probably lots
of other stuff...

Congrats, Dave. How bout a celebratory
Morning Coffee Notes podcast? I always check
to see if you've put up something new there
in my iTunes directory.

Congratulations on 10 years of unabashed
trouble making! You are to the Interweb what
Mrs. O'Leary's cow was to the Chicago Fire.
Keep it up.

I wouldn't have been blogging for the last 6.5 years without you. So.. thanks for that. :)
