I was playing with typography for my new mobile blogging service, and thought it looked kind of cooool.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

I was thinking it might have been a play on sms phone usage ... with funny case (mixture of UC/LC)? Didn't think of the 'old west'. Your right. Certainly the label stands out which is what you want in restricted screens that are monochrome, small viewing areas.
