And they're smiling coz the guy on the right just got laid, and told the other two what it's really like.

Young Bill Gates, Mitch Kapor and Fred Gibbons endorsing the Macintosh during rollout in 1984. I believe it was either in Macworld or Byte magazine.

They're not smiling : there's just no other facial expression available when you wear your pants that high and tight.

Combined weight: 184 pounds.

Also, I hadn't noticed until now that Google took over Apple's rainbow-of-primary-colors motif.

I was in Hawaii when Apple rolled out the Macintosh to the sales force in 1983.

These three were in a "Dating Game" with Steve Jobs as the host.

I was 35.

I was 27 - just got married and doing some consulting for the Wm. Morris agency, after having quit Bally-Midway and getting ready to start MacroMind. The big attraction for us was the 128k of RAM and built-in audio and graphics frame buffer.

So the hands mystery has been solved. What is Bill standing on?

13. Had had a ZX81 for a couple of years. Never saw a mouse and Mac until 89 at uni. Only used it for publishing the college mag as it had all these cool fonts.

I was 29 and an editor for Hayden Books working on the Apple Library series. I went to work at Apple about a year after that photo was taken, taking Chris Espiniosa's job as head of Mac User Ed. That was several lifetimes ago.

I was 13 and had received my first PC (Commodore 64) the prior year. I would "hack" the non-compiled BASIC "educational" games to taunt my younger brother even when he answered the questions correctly.
