A warm safe place

A warm safe place by scribex.
Trying out a Minolta Uniomat Rangefinder picked up on ebay. Has a pretty nice DoF at its closest setting (which you can't see in any of these...), good for portrait shots. Rangefinder vertical align is gone a bit though, so might try taking it apart a little and re-adjusting it. In theory.

Terrific. An atomic event at San Quentin.
What's the Uniomat? Is it anything like the Hi-matics?

vfm4 & Morphicx: If it goes well, you won't see a thing. If it goes badly, I'll be posting shots of my floor and inviting you all to find that **** tiny screw that just "pinged out". ;)

Shotbox: Cheers. Comparing this Uniomat page to this Hi-Matics page, they do seem fairly similar - both around 1960-1962. The hi-matics apparently have fully automatic mode though, which I don't think the Uniomat has - you have to manually set the exposure level according to the needle on top (which has caught me out on a couple of shots as I forgot...)

Would be interested to know if there are any other major differences though.
