playroom cabinetsLego in hardware organizers from Home Depot. Jigsaw puzzles and board games This cabinet is almost entirely board games, most of them European. Little houses that fold open. The people and furniture are in several plastic drawers below. Playmobil sorted into plastic bins: construction workers, grocery store, hospital, pirates, house, etc. Erector sets organized into plastic sectioned containers from IKEA Barbie and Kelly dolls. We resisted for 6 years. I didn't buy them -- they were gifts! Wooden puzzles Card games, flash cards, etc. Polly pocket -- little dolls with microscopic rubber clothing and shoes. Mr Potato Head, Wooden block town, My little Pony, Matchbox cars & trucks. Drawers hold: Lauri Foam puzzles, Felt toys, Doctor and Fix-it kits, wooden marble run, sock matching game, etc. Finger puppets! Furniture and people for the folding houses. Dress up clothes, toy foods, wooden building blocks.
![]() TUNHEM cabinets from IKEA. The perfect storage solution for the formal living room, which we've made into a playroom for the kids. Fast clean up, close the doors, and the room is presentable and ready to be used for new activities.

Commentsscrappin in the rain says:Actually it was quite easy (I love IKEA!).
The cabinets went together in about an hour
(using my elecric screwdriver), and then it
took about an hour to "find a
place" for everything. It's great now
because the kids know where everything
belongs at clean up time.
scrappin in the rain says:Bolted to the walls, absolutely. We live in
Earthquake country. IKEA even provides the
kit to attach it to your walls for safety.
