Yesterday, me and Helen went to a little coffee shop that's a little hidden gem in Blackburn called 'The Exchange Coffee Company'. We'd decided it would be a good setting for a 60s themed look to shoot.
When we got to taking pictures, I took the 1DS out, switched it on and then read to my horror that there was no CF card in the damned thing! Lucky I'd also packed my film camera (EOS 5) and a spare roll of film too so for the first time ever, I experimented with film only! And we loved the outcome :)
As well as getting these new pictures developed, I'd also taken another roll in earlier to be processed not knowing exactly what was on it. When I went to collect it, the girl behind the counter overheard me and Helen wondering what might be on it and I said that it'd better not have been an empty roll. When she heard this she shook her head furiously and told us that when she'd seen them she didn't exactly know what was going on in them and asked if the pictures were for a college project. My heart sank as my thoughts went to the worst case scenario - it was a dud roll that had nothing of interest at all on it. So, I paid for it, and then me and Helen went to go look at them and get coffee.
Coffee on the table, I opened the envelope containing the photos and was pleasantly surprised to find that in actual fact, the photos had come out better than I'd expected them to ever turn out to say that that roll turns out to have had my first attempts at double exposures on it!!
They're awesome (if I do say so myself haha) and I can't wait to upload them but I need to go and get the images put on to disk so I can upload them easier. I cannot wait!!
