Heheh. I thought of comparing the iPad to a beach. Heck, Techcrunch compared it to a Rock at www.techcrunch.com/2010/01/30/ipad-v-a-rock/

    So, let's do it:

    UNLIMITED RESOLUTION SUPPORT:
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

    STYLUS SUPPORT.
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

REFLECTED SCREEN TECHNOLOGY (can read in bright sunlight?)
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

    WATERPROOF?
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

DAMAGE RESISTANT (can you sit on it?)
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

CAN DOGS AND HUMANS ENJOY IT EQUALLY?
    iPad? No.
    Beach? Yes.

    CAN YOUR MOVEMENTS BE TRACKED?
iPad? Yes, via cookies and other tracking mechanism.
Beach? Yes, via footprints in the sand.

Forgot waterproof. Both rock and beach are waterproof. iPad is not.

The beach is not tethered to an AT&T data plan. You can read books that vary in price from a few $$ to more on the beach.

And my wife won't send me to the store to buy the beach like she does with her....

You can read books on the iPad.
You can read books on the beach.
But you probably shouldn't read books on your iPad at the beach...
