Nope. Canon 5D.

Why is this one so much darker, Robert? Did you lose the light that quickly? Although I would have thought the 5D would compensate.

I guessed this was the 5D; better detail, more emotive. The comparison wasn't quite fair though as the apertures on the two pictures are so different.

Hmm? Or did you deliberately try to mislead us? A bit of mischief, maybe. :)

This one is clearly the 5D, the camphone image, no matter how good it may be, looks much flatter if you ask me.

blog201 I didn't try to mislead anyone. I shot both pictures in complete idiot mode and put them up without manipulating them at all. I agree that the 5D images are much nicer, but the cell phone images are freaking good for what they are.

Like piers, looking just at the small versions, I expected it to be the other way around.

But you have convinced me I need a 5D or similar - now can you just convince my wife! :)

This one looked like the 5D shot to me -- it has more definition. The Nokia photo is quite good though.

I guessed this was the Canon... Just look at the shades and definition on the waves/water... miles ahead of the Nokia!

Pretty darn good Nokia camera though... But I bet it won't be as close if you go indoors/low light...

PS: Scoble: it does feel you were trying to "trick" us... Which is fine with me ;) You're not advertising anything, so...

You can tell that the 5D definitely exposed at a stop or three less than the Nokia. The phone was obviously noisier, but is pretty sharp in its own right.
