Anna's Hummingbird 1

    I've seen this bird visiting my front porch on many occasions, never when I had my camera handy though. I've been spending many late afternoons lately sitting out there trying to capture a few shots of her. Some times she'd buzz in and out before I could even get my camera pointed her way. This afternoon I was finally successful!

    I'm pretty sure this is a young female, because of the lack of markings around the head and neck.

      What a wonderful shot! I hope someday to get a shot like this of the hummingbird that visits my yard.

      I've found that a cigar & a martini help maintain the patience necessary to stake out the sage bushes long enough to catch her visits.
