I found this fiilm canister including a Kodak Panchromatic Fine Grain film in my late father's stuff. It was in the same drawer where he kept photos taken by his uncle, so I have to assume it was his uncle who took the shots. My grand-uncle was an interesting person, He was a chemist and one of his stories was that he claimed to have "invented" the Molotow cocktail while working as a high-school teacher. When I told this story to a friend of mine who had attended this high-school, she told me that rumours went around the school confirming this invention. Still, I'm not quite convinced. The story is too weird to be true. Later, he worked as a private teacher and had his own class room in the basement. It was filled with memories from his extensive trips around the world. Things included snake skeletons, exotic butterflies, tibetian prayer wheels, african statues etc. I loved to go and see him and listen to his stories when I was a child. He never married, but when he died, my father and his cousin found out that we must have had an illegitimate child.
The film in this role is different from his usual travel photography. More spicy, so to speak. I still have to scan it, though.
