Another picture with the dress I got off eBay, it is a 1970's festival wedding dress, I got it for £20 - bargain! There will be more pictures with it to come, I'm sure :)
It's just annoying the bloody thing doesn't fit me properly, I assume in the 70's size 8 actually meant size 8! If I was in the 70's I assume my current size would be size 20 or something.
This was just taken in my conservatory, sometimes there is quite nice sunlight in there.

I'm coming to this a bit late in the day :)
As a dressmaker, I can assure you that vintage sizing cannot be comparable to todays sizing charts. Lots of things change generationally including diet and lifestyles which play a big part in size. Nationally we were the healthiest during WW2 when rations on food and eating organically became the norm.
I read somewhere once that Marilyn Monroe was something like a size 14 by todays standards, and if you look back, nobody had these huge chests like today. So take heart Ms Schloo- its not you! And plus, size 8 is still size 8- even today :)
You look beautiful in this photograph :) Congrats on the book cover!

This is a beautiful photo. I came across this on tumblr and would really love to use this as a reference to practice my painting skill. I hope you don't mind. :)
