Pillar

Just look at the welding on this corner!
My favorite bit!!
The intersection of the pipes here is almost like a lady's leg!!
Incandescent!
OMG!!
Strong head
This bit is like the curve of a woman's bottom, just where it meets her upper thigh.
I'm in awe.
A column in architecture and structural engineering is a vertical structural element that transmits, through compression, the weight of the structure above to other structural elements below. Other compression members are often termed columns because of the similar stress conditions.
The masonry here is really quite exquisite. I would very much like to see a more detailed photo-essay.
just gorgeous
This *makes* the photo!!!
"a rose is a flower that grows steady and true, but there are thorns to remind you that mistakes are part of love, too"
Such grit!
Nice detail!
Is it a pillar, or a column? So many choices, so many dreams, so much to take in.
Ho Ho Ho Beard
The attention to detail really brings the image to life.
The beginning of the end.
Perfection
"The triple pillar of the world transformed Into a strumpet's fool."
Love the use of empty space
emotional
I've Got Hos. In different area codes.
Ain´t that something gorgeous?

Bored...
oooh. rounded corners.
This does not look plum. Shoddy pipefitting work. Someone call the union!
Ce n'est pas une pipe.

Flagging For Review!!
The hanging wire is a metaphor for the threat of dangerous technology in modern society.
Intriguing, because this is a color similar to one that architect Gae Aulenti employs for many of her creative re-uses of older structures. Somewhat daring to use it here, a subtle reference, ultimately.
Strong Bad
I love what you did with this
crap suggestion
God?
Missed one over here - pipe.
that which don't kill me
Hey, I just found an empty spot!!! :)
mind-blowing
This would be better in HDR.
Aggiungi la tua nota qui.
What do you know... pipe.
Subtle yet confronting, with underlying social commentary. A tangible and visible attack on an egregious, globally-focused patriarchal anchorage.
You should have this looked at.
Pipe
Great contrast of fragile vs the uber-pillar. im in awe
Wow that is a nice Pillar
wot?? that is totaly a pipe dumass!!
halfway there... living on a prayer
I image that if you could look into the face of God, this would be the color of his/her/its eyes!
buy pixels here! $5 / pixel! million dollar pillar page!
sf faux doric circa 1994?
I'd call this Pillartastic!
"You gotta getchaself some mawble columns!"
fluorescing mercury vapor
I love this dreamy quality of this light!
i am in teh box messing up all teh other boxes
more pipe
love these diagonals!
I have always regarded myself as the pillar of my life.
needs more pillar here
Suggested crop.
You've got to seriously wonder about a God who chooses hospital green eyes with the infinity of colors at their disposal.
Really glad you guys sorted out the layering of notes, by the way...
:)
Super photo!!!! Amazing!
Infinity portal
http://flickr.com/photos/tags/phallus/clusters/
You can tell by the dark hue that pipe was having a bad day.
I bought these pixels for $1.
I love the way the photo fades from a mis lighted fluorescent green , to a cobalt black. Great composition.
Cropping Suggestion
Mwhahaha
No Note Here!
Pillar by .schill.
So I was shopping at this store (not a pillar store, but that would have sufficed,) looking for furniture; I noticed these pillars, which reminded me of the ones in my place. You can visit the store yourself to worship this phallic (as some would claim) object in person, down in Potrero Hill! (but only on Sundays.)

(Edit): I appear to have struck a nerve with the structural concrete community fanbase; I knew you were out there hiding somewhere.
PILLARS and COLUMNS FTW!!
This photo has notes. Move your mouse over the photo to see them.

QUOTATION: In time, after a dozen years of centering their lives around the games boys play with one another, the boys’ bodies change and that changes everything else. But the memories are not erased of that safest time in the lives of men, when their prime concern was playing games with guys who just wanted to be their friendly competitors. Life never again gets so simple.

It then says sign in to Flickr to proceed, I do that, I see My photos I go to update a profile and I get the message sorry YAHELL photos are closed, and then proceeds to talk about Flickr. And from Flickr I keep getting security alert messages that My photos can be stolen. Someone can steal my photos THAT I CANNOT ACCESS !!!!!!!!! I never ever had a problem with Yahoo... I have sent emails to Flickr and have gotten Zero response,,, ZERO
I am beginning to think that this was some sort of scam to get people's columm photos,, why else send a message disclaimer on photo theft and yet make it so hard for the rightful owners to get the very photos, that they are told were loaded to the Flickr Program?
