Your shots really capture an incredible
amount of emotion. Absolutely love the
processing that you put on these athletes.
Have these completely on my mind when I was
trying to shoot my daughters soccer game the
other day!

No not at all! Thanks for asking though.
Had kids with me which really didn't help
out. I need to get a wider telephoto than
what I have. All my telephotos are either
old or kit and only open up to about 5.6
I would love to get a 100mm 2.8 or so.
really gives a much better effect!

For my runner shots it's quite the opposite,
actually. My tele is an f/4, but I try to
use it at f/8 or, if there isn't enough
light, at f/5.6. The problem is that the
autofocus never perfectly focuses on the eyes
because things are moving so fast, so I need
more DoF. But of course I also need fast
shutter speeds, so I often have to shoot at
ISO 1600.

Good to know. I appreciate the info. I am
pretty deficient at shooting things that move
so any extra dof would be helpful.
