Thanks - it was kind of an odd bit of luck that the sky was perfectly clear that day. Cloudless days do not occur with any sort of frequency in the Pacific NW, heh.

Nice austere shot. My mom wrote that traffic jams are expected the day Ikea's Portland store opens and passengers traveling from PDX are advised to go to the airport earlier than usual. Hah! Hilarious that Ikea would create such a stir. They are very status quo and ordinary here.

Yeah, and it's made all the worse by all the various local tv news programs devoting coverage and time to the impending opening. It's ridiculous - it's just a store! I guess you could say that I'm more than a little underwhelmed by yet another big corporate shopping opportunity ;P
